Happy with the format
★★★★★

I was able to do this training from home with the course handouts on the screen at the same time as viewing the videos and choosing my answers. A higher resolution aids in watching the video while seeing the questions too. So, I found the quality to be very good and there were no buffering issues.

I was very pleased with the narrator’s voice and tone throughout. And, I appreciated the videos being sectioned off so that we could focus on the relevant questions at the right time. At first, I thought this aided us ‘cheating’ our way through the questions but I found it more thought provoking this way which made me feel like I was really taking in what was required.

I’d also like to add that it feels like a nicely thought out course that will be practical for students who like history, want to help tourists or might like to be employed in tourism.

Ambiguous Questions
★★★★★

Two of the questions were ambiguous (as the instructor demonstrated both answers) – it took me three attempts to get 100%. Also, it would be better if they were presented to the right of the video, rather than underneath it, to prevent scrolling up and down while watching. The video quality is unnecessarily high, and would likely cause buffering issues on some connections.

The Advanced course could easily be adapted by the instructor and student for their own locations (e.g. Hiroshima, Sapporo, Okinawa) – but some guidance on how to tailor the Intermediate course for specific locations would be helpful for inexperienced instructors.

Terrible Video Quality
★★★★★

I appreciate the separation of the Beginner/Intermediate and the Advanced lessons. It made it more comprehensable. However, the video would buffer every few seconds which made retaining any information next to impossible.

Comprehensive.
★★★★★

Was wondering if question 5 should not include the first part about picture speculation and then it is the correct answer?
