
This module will provide you with the knowledge and skills to do NOVA Score assessments for NOVA’s adult students, from Multimedia booths. NOVA Score assessments are done for new students to allocate them a study level, and for students who want to measure their progress and move up through the levels.
You will learn grammatical terminology used in assessments, and will practice assessing portions of the test using pre-graded samples.
In addition to the ability to conduct NOVA Score tests, this module will also allow you to develop a more in-depth knowledge of the NOVA Score attributes which are used in marking off the WebCarte.
This course contains:
- overview of NOVA Score and sections of the test
- exercises with various samples to calibrate your ability to assess students consistent with NOVA’s level system
Learn how to:
- make your student feel comfortable
- use the online lesson plans
- conduct a NOVA Score assessment – choosing streams during the test and scoring
- make decisions in real time
