Junior High School Speaking & Listening Grammar Course

This a special speaking and listening grammar course for Junior High school students and older Elementary school students, available this summer (2025). The course practices tricky English grammar points in an intensive but fun and interactive way. This training video helps with ideas for explaining grammar, giving effective correction, and age-appropriate practice activities.

Questions are too difficult and as pointed out the Task 4 question is incorrect because they don’t point to the paper. Tell your instructor that you will need at least 2 GDH slots to complete as 40mins is not enough time even if you double playback the video speed.

Questions are often confusing and have mistakes. Needing 100% to pass is also excessive and is a waste of instructor time. Audio quality is also often difficult to hear and has a large disparity in volume between sections.

If you’re going to set up a quiz with 100% pass conditions make sure the answers to the test are correct. Task 4 question 1 (q7/16) is incorrect. Might i politely suggest a hotfix or else an adjustment to the pass condition so that people could get that one question wrong and still be able to pass the test?

At no point in question 4 do the students point to the paper, the answer is incorrect and makes it impossible to pass the quiz without choosing the incorrect answer.

Incorrect quiz / Missing instruction for large classes

The quiz is objectively incorrect at points. It seems for some questions you have to make a guess at what the best option is and what actually occurred in the video.

The one substantial difference from when this course was run a few years ago is that in addition to being elongated from 18 mins to 40 mins, there is now a potential for large classes rather than just M2M.
There is no advice about how to deal with this main difference between the course now and as it was when we had to first complete the training for it.

Some of the questions were confusing and focusing on them – there were 16 in total – actually detracts from being able to follow the video itself. The audio quality was poor and, because the students were wearing masks, it was hard to understand which one was speaking at times. Tailoring group lessons – especially large ones – for students of varying ability will be a challenge that was not dealt with.

Students do not point to the paper. There isn’t really a transformation drill either, but the students do have to answer a present perfect question, which could be construed as a kind of transformation?
Perhaps the section was edited out of the final video?
